THERE IS SOME EXCITING NEW ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT ACTIVITY GOING ON......
The City, CMU, and the Chamber (CMU paying the bills of course) are working jointly to create an inventory of available property, both public and private, in Canton in hopes of facilitating growth. CMPPD is assembling this in a user-friendly, mapping format that will be hosted on a website. The site will be interactive, and users will be able to go to the site and find available land and properties and have all the spec’s right there. We will provide a link to the site from the chamber website.
The Chamber's role will be to provide our members with an avenue to list their properties, help coordinate promotion, and facilitate use. This has the potential to be a powerful tool for us to promote growth within the city, because the goal will be to assemble in one location much of the information that someone trying to locate a business or new development needs, thereby allowing them to bypass much of the bureaucratic red-tape one encounters in such an endeavor. Imagine having a place to go where someone can get all the spec’s on a site; dimensions, zoning, ordinance requirements, surrounding business, WITHOUT having to visit an array of government offices.
This will be a valuable service we can provide, strengthen the relevancy of the Chamber, and may put us ahead of some in our area in terms of cutting-edge promotion.
We will keep you updated!!!!

La Di Da Back Room Boutique
What a great ribbin cutting at the new addition to La Di Da, The Backroom Boutique! As usual, the girls did an outstanding job of hosting and it was a fun and enjoyable experience. People were there to do more than just visit, though - they were there to shop. The place is a girls dream.
We are very proud of La Di Da and wish them great success in their newest expansion. Keri and Alison have built a wonderful business through vision and hard work. We are very proud of them!!!!
